About me
.
My initial training was in integrative counselling and two approaches continue to inform my practice. A Person Centred
approach creates a relationship between us where you can explore whatever is troubling you, honestly and openly. A
Gestalt
approach focuses on your immediate thoughts, feelings, body sensations. This can safely help you manage anxiety.
Over the last 10 years I have been drawn to study
Jungian Depth Psychology
and
Psychoanalysis.
This is
because I believe they can help us understand the complex ways we have developed to cope, that negatively impact ourselves.
I receive regular supervision from both a Jungian Analyst and PsychoAnalyst.
My first career was in London as a qualitative researcher. This sort of research explores an issue to gain a deeper understanding of it. I
then worked as a creative planner in advertising agencies.
20 years ago I moved to the South Hams and I worked as a senior counsellor, director and supervisor for 5 years at Simply Counselling and now I am in private practice.
